What is CNC Machining ?
2025-03-14 15:53:03

CNC Machining is controlled by computer parts and product manufacturing processes. CNC machining includes the use of computer numerical control machine tools, which automatically remove excess material from a part of the material and adjust it to a piece of material (ie, a workpiece) for processing. Usually, we can use different metal materials. When the material removal is complete, the product has been produced, a process called subtractive manufacturing. For better CNC machining, computer applications are used to control the movement of the machine. CNC machine types include common milling, turning, EDM, grinding and so on. During the milling process, a rotating tool is applied to the surface of the workpiece, moving along an axis. Basically, cutting or trimming can quickly handle complex precision parts. In turning work, lathes are used to make parts with cylindrical features. The workpiece rotates on the shaft in contact with the precision turning tool to form circular edges, radial holes and axial holes, and grooves. Compared with the traditional manual motor processing, the CNC processing speed is much faster, the computer code is correct, the design conforms, and the finished product has high dimensional accuracy, and the error is very small. It can be used to manufacture final products and parts, but is usually only cost-effective in low-volume short-term production, so it is ideal for rapid prototyping manufacturing.
